Monday highlights: Bulldogs, Bott post victories

In girls' golf

At Farmer City. CHARLOTTE GOSS (80) and DANIELLE ELLIS (84) finished second and third, respectively, to lead Mahomet-Seymour to the title of the seven-team Blue Ridge Invitational on Monday.

The Bulldogs (350) posted an 18-stroke victory over GCMS and meet medalist EMILY SPANGLER, who shot a 78 at Woodlawn Country Club.

El Paso-Gridley (410) was third, and Blue Ridge (418) finished fourth.

In boys' golf

At Urbana. Bismarck-Henning's ANDY BOTT won medalist honors in a scorecard playoff in the season-opening Tiger Invitational. Bott shot 75 at Urbana Country Club and tied with Charleston's CORY MORN and Judah Christian's STEPHEN LOWE. Charleston claimed the team title at 327, followed by Bradley-Bourbonnias and Bismarck-Henning, each at 329. BROCK PEAVLER of Rantoul/Paxton-Buckley-Loda was fourth at 77.

At Tuscola. GARRETT COX was medalist with a 71 as Mahomet-Seymour won the 15-team St. Anthony Bulldog Invitational at Ironhorse Golf Course. The Bulldogs' LYLE BURNS finished seventh with a 77. The Bulldogs compiled a 306 total. Centennial was third at 321.
