Monday's highlights: Judah's Berger goes low

Boys' golf

At Mahomet. Judah Christian's NICK BERGER shot 71 to win medalist honors at the Tiger Kick-Off Classic at Lake of the Woods. Centennial's GREY SCHULTZ was fourth at 78.

Bradley-Bourbonnais won the team title. Bismarck-Henning, led by ANDY BOTT's 79, was the top area finisher (fourth).

At Gibson City. DEVYN ROESCH (50) and AUSTIN PERCY (51) helped Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley top Fisher in a dual match at Railside Golf Course. JAKOB HOBBS (53) led Fisher.

At El Paso. Prairie Central (174), led by LINCOLN SLAGEL's 42, won a tiebreaker with Cornerstone Christian to win the three-team event.

Girls' golf

At Farmer City. Balanced Mahomet-Seymour won the seven-team Blue Ridge Invitational, placing four golfers in the top 10. Seniors BROOKLYN HILDRETH and AMBER TABAKA each shot 90 to lead the Bulldogs.

Monticello was third behind EVELYN BRAND (87), who was second individually. GCMS' KATIE SPANGLER (89) was third.

At Onarga. Iroquois West's LINDSEY LUEHRSEN shot a 42 for medalists honors at Shagbark County Club.
