Wednesday's prep highlights: Davis paces Danville

In boys' golf

At Bloomington. Trey Davis carded an 80 to tie for 32nd and lead Danville to 21st place at the Raider Classic at the Den.

Champaign Central, which was paced by Riley Thompson's 81, finished 22nd.

At Onarga. Kameron Wilken carded a 4-over-par 40 to claim medalist honors and lead Iroquois West to victory in a triangular against Watseka and Hoopeston Area at Shagbark Golf & Country Club. Zach Small added a 43 in the victory.

Hoopeston Area was led by Ryan McGill, who shot 43. Watseka was led by Neil Rhoades and Justin Moyer, who each shot 45.

At Gibson City. Blue Ridge, led by medalist CJ Bishop's 39, won a four-team meet at Railside. The Knights took the top four individual spots, which included a 40 by runner-up Will Duggins.

At Monticello. The Sages, led by 43s from Tyler TAYLOR and SAM FORAN, claimed a triangular against Clinton and Shelbyville at Monticello Golf Club.

In girls' golf

At Onarga. Iroquois West's Lindsey Luehrsen and Watseka's Drew Grimes tied for medalist honors with 42s in a three-school meet at Shagbark that included Hoopeston Area.

At Gibson City. Katie Spangler earned medalist honors with a 45 for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley in a triang-ular against Blue Ridge and LeRoy.

The Panthers, who were paced by Jessie Wohlwend's 53, earned the team honors at Railside. Megan Tsevelekos had a 52 for Blue Ridge.
