Wednesday's prep highlights: Hildreth leads M-S

In girls' golf

At Atlanta. Brooklyn Hildreth claimed medalist honors with a 41 to lead Mahomet-Seymour to victory in a three-team meet that included Olympia and Pontiac at North Greens Golf Course.

The Bulldogs' Emily Trolia was runner-up with a 45, and teammate Amber Tabaka was another stroke back.

At Urbana. Evelyn Brand (38) and Kaza Combs (43) were first and second, respectively, leading Monticello to victory against St. Thomas More and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at Stone Creek.

Katie Spangler (46) paced the Falcons. Briana Davison and Taylor During each carded 56s to lead the Sabers.

At Sheldon. Ashley Lenhart (45) and Drew Grimes (46) paced Watseka to victory at Shewami.

In boys' golf

At Danville. Andy Bott claimed top honors with a par 36, leading Bismarck-Henning to victory at Harrison Park in a match against St. Thomas More and each school's junior varsity squads.

Austin Toler added a 39 for the Blue Devils. Michael Kehl paced the Sabers with a 39.

At Savoy. Centennial's Grey Schultz and Christian Khachaturian and Monticello's Tyler Taylor each carded 38s to share medalist honors in a triangular at the UI Orange Course that included LeRoy.

At El Paso. Austin Percy shot a 46 to finish fourth for GCMS at El Paso Golf Club in a match against Lexington.

At Urbana. Joe Barton of Rantoul/PBL carded a 41 to win medalist honors at Urbana Country Club in a match against Urbana and CPCI.

Urbana's C.G. Facer and Rantoul/PBL's Brock Peavler each shot 42s.

At Sheldon. Clark Fink and Kameron Wilken led Iroquois West to second place in a triangular that included Milford and Donovan at Shewami.

At Danville. Westville's Chase Henry claimed top honors with a 41 at Harrison Park in a match against Danville.

In boys' soccer

Clifton Central 1, Watseka 0. Bob Loeffler recorded seven saves for the Warriors in the final match of the Sangamon Valley Conference tournament.

Watseka lost in a shootout.

In girls' tennis

At Champaign. Abby Myers won her matches at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles to lead Rantoul to a 6-2 victory against Champaign Central.
