Monday's highlights: Central, Centennial battle to draw

In volleyball

■ Urbana Uni High 2, Cornerstone Christian Academy 1.
Natalie Dullerud had 18 digs and three service aces for the Illineks in a 25-14, 21-25, 25-3 victory at Bloomington.

■ Watseka 2, St Anne 0. Led by Lexi Shoemaker’s six kills and two blocks, the Warriors improved to 27-0 with a 25-16, 25-19 home win.

■ Deer Creek-Mackinaw 2, Ridgeview 0. Paige Jones had five digs for the Mustangs in a 25-6, 25-13 home loss.

■ Mattoon 2, St. Joseph-Ogden 0. The visiting Spartans lost 25-23, 25-22 despite Karlie Baker’s 27 assists and Shelby Simmons’ 10 kills.

■ Arthur Okaw Christian 2, Pana First Baptist 0. Kayla Gingerich and Hanna Erwin combined for nine kills for AOC in a 25-17, 25-13 road victory.

■ LeRoy 2, GCMS 1. The Panthers battled to a 25-15, 19-25, 26-24 home win behind AshLynn Cowles’ 14 digs and seven service aces. Elise Morgan (10 kills) and Briana Retter (24 assists) produced double-figure performances for LeRoy. Emily Elder led the Falcons with eight kills and 12 digs.

■ Decatur Christian 2, Danville First Baptist 0. The Knights lost 25-14, 25-11 on the road.

■ PBL 2, Fisher 0. Sarah Watts and Kellyn Maynard combined for 15 kills to lead the Panthers to a home victory. Kailey Kleinert added four service aces and two blocks.

■ Schlarman 2, Danville 0. Jordan Marganski had eight kills and four blocks to lead the Hilltoppers (11-3) to a 25-8, 25-20 home win.

■ Rantoul 2, Decatur Eisenhower 1. Kaylee Denton racked up 33 assists and Hannah Cargo produced 11 kills and eight blocks to lead the Eagles to a 25-14, 20-25, 25-15 road victory.

■ Bismarck-Henning 3, Seeger (Ind.) 2. Mary Bass’ double-double (16 kills, 11 digs) boosted the Blue Devils to a 25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 20-25, 15-4 road win. Bass also had six blocks and three service aces, while Maddie Winkler contributed 32 assists and Addie Voyles totaled 13 digs for B-H.

In LOVC tournament:
■ Tri-County 2, Atwood-Hammond 0.
Abby Smith’s eight kills and nine digs led the third-seeded Titans to a 25-16, 25-16 win at Kansas. Alex Hudson dished out 27 assists for T-C.

■ Tri-County 2, Arcola 0. The Titans survived a tense first set, then swept the Purple Riders 29-27, 25-13 at Kansas. Heidi Dague had 10 kills and five blocks for T-C.

■ Arthur-Lovington 2, Okaw Valley 0. The top-seeded Lancers improved to 19-1 with a 25-6, 25-20 win at Arthur behind Karly Goodman’s six kills and four service aces.

■ Cerro Gordo 2, Shiloh 1. The second-seeded Broncos fended off visiting Shiloh 25-17, 21-25, 25-13 with the help of Makenzie Wagoner’s 10 kills and five blocks. Jessica Hunt had seven kills, eight digs and three blocks for the Raiders.

■ Bement 2, Shiloh 0. With Taylor Wegrich contributing eight kills and seven digs, the Bulldogs battled to a 25-23, 25-23 victory at Cerro Gordo. Andi Luth of the Raiders finished with 16 digs and four kills.

■ Cerro Gordo 2, Bement 0. The host Broncos won their second match of the night, 25-19, 25-16, as Sadie Sawyer and Stephanie Shook combined for 29 digs. Wagoner contributed seven kills and eight blocks. Abby Trott had a double-double (16 assists, 13 digs) for Bement.
In boys’ soccer

■ Champaign Central 1, Centennial 1. Diamond Williams of the Chargers scored an unassisted goal in the second half to tie the score, and the city rivals played to a draw on Central’s field. David Zenge gave the Maroons a 1-0 lead in the first half with an unassisted goal. Centennial goalkeeper Oscar Almaraz recorded six saves, and Gavin Schrader and Ryan Chalifoux of Central combined for six saves.

■ Judah Christian 5, Unity 2. Daniel Kurz, josh Zuckermann and Sam Harris scored second-half goals to lift the Tribe to a home victory. Max Berry had two assists for Judah, which finished the regular season 12-2-2. Trevor Giannetti had a goal and an assist for Unity.

■ Monticello 3, St. Teresa 1. Zach Armstrong scored twice and assisted on the Sages’ other goal in a win at Decatur.

■ Grant Park 3, Watseka 0. Warriors goalkeeper Juan Deharo finished with 17 saves in a home defeat.

In girls’ tennis

■ Centennial 9, Decatur MacArthur 0.
Lauren Neitzel and Gressa Olson did not lose a game in singles for the Chargers, who rolled to victory at Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana.

■ St. Thomas More 6, GCMS 3. Abagail Demlow and Maddie King each won singles matches and combined for a doubles victory to lead the Sabers to a win at Atkins Tennis Center. Katy Neal of the Falcons also was a singles and doubles winner.

■ Danville 9, Watseka 0. The Vikings swept the visiting Warriors as Rachael Lewis, Amy Shah, Neha Patel and Amanda Vadeboncoeur each did not drop a game in singles. Lewis also combined with Taylor Ellis for a 6-0, 6-0 doubles victory.

In boys’ golf

■ At Farmer City.
Zach Reynolds shot a 39 to share medalist honors and lead Blue Ridge to a 163-178 victory against Heyworth at Woodlawn Country Club. The Knights’ Will Duggins was third with a 40.
