Teams of the Week: STM boys' golf in spotlight

ST. THOMAS MORE BOYS’ GOLF
Led by individual co-medalists Michael Kehl and Chris Tate, the Sabers had four of the top eight scores and won team honors by 28 strokes in their final Sangamon Valley Conference meet. Kehl and Tate fired 75s. STM will move to the Okaw Conference in 2014-15.

UNITY GIRLS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
The Rockets won the 14-school Robinson Invitational as their first three runners — Taylor Renfroe, Nicole Bagwell and Laura Seiler — placed in the top 10 and were within 11 seconds of each other after the 3-mile race.

JUDAH CHRISTIAN BOYS’ SOCCER
The Tribe (11-2-2) wrapped up the East Central Illinois Conference title, allowing one goal during a three-win week. The team had 11 goals, and seven players reached the scoring column. Max Berry hit three goals, and Sam Harris and Michael Linsner each had two.

CHAMPAIGN CENTRAL FOOTBALL
The Maroons scored a dramatic come-from-behind win against Chicago Heights Marian Catholic, overcoming a 10-0 first-quarter deficit. Quarterback-turned receiver Jamal Stovall hauled in the go-ahead touchdown pass on a 14-yarder from Nicholas Glenn in the fourth period.
