Wednesday's prep highlights: Hanselman leads Sages

In boys' soccer

At Monticello. JACOB HANSELMAN had a goal and two assists to propel Monticello to a 3-0 victory against Olympia in a Monticello Regional contest. CORBIN McCALL and MATT WELLS also scored for the Sages (13-5-1). Keeper JOSH SCHUMACHER made five saves.

At Gilman. Iroquois West defeated Watseka 2-0 to advance to the Class 1A regional title match against top-seeded Clifton Central. GIOVANNI VERGARA and ARIEL GARCIA scored for the Raiders (7-11-1), who beat the Warriors for the third time. Goalkeeper HECTOR REYES made nine saves.

At Danville. Schlarman defeated Georgetown-Ridge Farm 10-0 and Salt Fork/Westville beat Oakwood 4-2 to advance in the Schlarman Regional.

Danville 4, Decatur Eisenhower 0. Three Vikings notched the first goals of their respective careers as Danville closed out its regular season at Ned Whitesell Field. LUIS RUBIO, BRANDON MILLER and CHRIS BRYANT each scored for the first time as a Viking. LANDON KENNEDY added a goal and an assist. SAM ABDELGHANI recorded his first career assist on Miller's goal. Danville (12-7-2, 6-2-1 Big 12) closed the regular season on a nine-match unbeaten streak.

In swimming & diving

At Urbana. GABI RAJIC captured the 100-yard freestyle and the 100 backstroke to lead Urbana (119 points) past Urbana Uni (101) and Schlarman (nine). Rajic also swam a leg on victorious 200 medley and 200 free relays. The Tigers' KIRSTEN SLAUGHTER won the 50 free while placing second behind Rajic in the 100 free.
