Monday's prep highlights: Central blanks SJ-O

In volleyball

Champaign Central 2, St. Joseph-Ogden 0. Maddie LeGrande’s 10 kills and Katie Sloniger’s 10 digs propelled the Maroons to a 25-23, 25-21 road win. Kelley McDonald and Emma Atkinson combined for 21 assists for Central.

Marissa McElroy led the Spartans with 11 kills, and teammate Karlie Baker totaled 24 assists.

Tri-Valley 2, St. Thomas More 1. The visiting Sabers lost 22-25, 25-17, 25-20 despite a combined 30 kills by Lexi Wallen and Tori McCoy. Katie Gillette racked up 17 digs and Courtney Wax had five blocks for STM.

Shiloh 2, Arthur Okaw Christian 0. Lauren Moses and Jessica Hunt each had eight kills to lead Shiloh to a 25-16, 25-16 home win. Tori Stierwalt contributed 10 digs for the Raiders. Abby Mast and Holli Bayes combined for 22 digs for Arthur Okaw Christian.

LeRoy 2, Ridgeview 0. The host Panthers won 25-16, 25-12 behind Briana Retter’s 18 assists and five service aces. AshLynn Cowles added 10 digs for LeRoy.

Fieldcrest 2, GCMS 0. Allyson Barnes had nine digs for the Falcons in a 25-8, 25-8 road loss.

Schlarman 2, PBL 1. Janelle Marion’s near double-double (10 kills, nine assists) led the Hilltoppers to a 26-24, 16-25, 25-16 road victory.

Jordan Marganski contributed 15 assists, six kills and four blocks for Schlarman (13-3).

Sarah Watts and Kailey Kleinert combined for 21 kills for Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

Cerro Gordo 2, Argenta-Oreana 1. The visiting Broncos rallied for a 21-25, 26-24, 25-11 win behind Kristie Krigbaum’s double-double (12 digs, 10 assists).

Leah Henricks added nine kills and seven digs for Cerro Gordo. Alexa Jones paced the Bombers with 12 kills and seven digs.

In boys’ soccer

Champaign Central 4, Danville 1. Feli Keti’s goal and two assists helped the Maroons build a 3-1 halftime lead en route to a home victory. Keti scored again in the second half as Central improved to 14-4-3.

Gracson Torres’ goal gave Danville a 1-0 lead.
