UNITY BOYS' CROSS-COUNTRY
Coach Dike Stirrett's state-ranked squad had a 67-second split for the top five runners, an impressive feat because the leader was also the regional champion, Scott Woodard. Helping the Rockets to a repeat team crown were Doran Walsten, Colby Purcell, Kendal Eckert and Austin Kramer. In a field of 95 finishers, they were all among the first 14.

The Chargers (31-3) concluded the regular season with a four-match winning streak and a share of the Big 12 title for the first time in 15 years. Lauren Cloyd and Kelly Wachtel each had 11 kills as the Chargers won their finale, at Chatham Glenwood. The junior varsity (34-1) beat five opponents in two sets to capture the Big 12 JV tourney crown.
ST. JOSEPH-OGDEN GIRLS' CROSS-COUNTRY
Coach Jon Jamison's Spartans had a strong pack following front-runners Chelsea Blaase and Alyssa Pridemore. Brittany Baker, Jolee Paden, Loren Brooks and Veronica Brooks ran the 3-mile course within 27 seconds of each other as the Spartans captured their fifth consecutive Class 1A regional championship and 14th in 19 years.
The Blue Devils (23-1) entered the postseason with a 23-match winning streak (21 of them in two sets), securing their eighth consecutive Vermilion County tournament crown and then finishing atop the Vermilion Valley Conference for the fifth year in a row. Samantha Siddens and Maranda Witty were two of the offensive and defensive leaders.
