n Champaign Central 2, Normal West 0. Mia McDonald had 24 assists for the Maroons in a 25-13, 25-18 road vic-
tory. Jaelyn Westfield and Kailyn Demith each recorded eight kills for Central (18-5, 4-0 Big 12).
n Bement 2, Villa Grove 0. Sabrina Hinton had seven kills, four service aces and three blocks, leading the Bulldogs to a 25-9, 25-13 home win. Kelsey Dees had six digs for Villa Grove.
n Watseka 2, Iroquois West 0. The visiting Warriors won 25-8, 25-15 behind Taylor Bauer’s six kills, five digs and three service aces.
n Salt Fork 2, Hoopeston Area 0. Britton Seaman’s seven kills and three blocks propelled the Storm to a 25-19, 25-12 road win.
Kalyn Learnard contributed 13 digs for Salt Fork.
n Heyworth 2, LeRoy 0. Natalie Pliura had 16 digs for the Panthers in a 25-22, 25-23 home loss.
n Armstrong-Potomac 2, Chrisman 0. The Trojans defeated the visiting Cardinals 25-22, 25-21 behind Rachel Miles’ 20 digs and seven blocks.
Morgan Zindars had 30 assists for A-P. Bridget Mattingly led the Cardinals with eight digs.
n BCC 2, Rantoul 0. Chaquera Cross had 11 digs for the Eagles in a 25-18, 25-11 loss to visiting Bloomington Central Catholic.
BCC senior Danielle Davis, who has orally committed to walk on at Illinois, produced a double-double (10 kills, 10 digs).
n Blue Ridge 2, Fieldcrest 1. The Knights rallied to pull out a 16-25, 25-20, 25-22 home win behind Chandler Morrow’s 21 digs.
Emily Zelhart added four service aces.
n Shelbyville 2, Argenta-Oreana 0. Josie Santiago had four kills and Alex Stupek recorded five digs for the Bombers in a 25-12, 25-14 road loss.
n Arthur-Lovington 2, Shiloh 0. The visiting Knights won 25-11, 25-12 behind Julia Cohan’s six kills and three service aces.
Lauren Moses had three kills and five digs for Shiloh.
n Tri-County 2, Okaw Valley 0. Amber Meyer’s 24 assists and Lizzy Barnard’s 10 kills carried the Titans (23-2) to a 25-8, 25-12 road win.
n Olympia 2, Mahomet-Seymour 1. Sirena Woo had 24 digs and two service aces for the Bulldogs in a 19-25, 25-13, 25-23 road loss.
Sophie Christianson added eight blocks for M-S.
n Maroa-Forsyth 2, Unity 0. Bailey Reifsteck had two service aces and seven assists for the Rockets in a 25-20, 25-20 road loss.
n Schlarman 2, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 0. The host Hilltoppers won 25-7, 25-16 behind Jordan Marganski’s eight kills, 13 assists and five blocks. Schlarman (11-1) remained undefeated in seven Vermilion Valley Conference matches.
n Cerro Gordo 2, Arcola 0. Klaire Karmazinas, Taylor Edwards and Laynee Clark had seven digs apiece for Arcola, which lost 25-19, 26-24 on the road.
n Meridian 2, Sullivan 0. The visiting Redskins lost 26-24, 25-23 despite Haylie Payton’s 17 digs.
n Monticello 2, Tuscola 1. Katie Lienhart’s five kills, five blocks and five digs boosted the Sages to a 25-16, 14-25, 25-19 road win.
Kaitlyn Hunt had 16 digs for Monticello.
n St. Joseph-Ogden 2, Clifton Central 0. The host Spartans won 25-23, 25-14 behind Shelby Simmons’ 10 kills and two service aces.
n DeLand-Weldon 2, Judah Christian 0. Emily Gewirtz had 13 digs and Kylie Beaumont recorded 14 assists for the Tribe in a 25-20, 25-16 home loss.
n Clinton 2, Warrensburg-Latham 0. The visiting Maroons won 25-17, 25-14 behind Bailey Walker’s 10 digs, five kills and six assists.
n Decatur Lutheran 2, Urbana University High 1. Despite Emma Hoyer’s 10 kills and five blocks, the visiting Illineks lost 25-18, 20-25, 25-22.
n Bismarck-Henning 2, Westville 0. Morgan Gerbsch racked up 21 digs and Taylor Ellis had 13 assists for the Blue Devils in a 25-22, 25-12 home win.
In boys’ soccer
n Monticello 5, Meridian 1. The Sages built a 4-1 halftime lead in rolling to a home win. Josh Schumacher scored two first-half goals, while teammate Matt Menacher had one goal in each half.
n Salt Fork/Westville 2, G-RF/C 0. Christian Jackson scored two unassisted goals for the Storm in a home win against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman. Aaron Marx racked up 13 saves for the Storm.
n Judah Christian 4, Oakwood 0. The Tribe recorded its seventh shutout of the season in a home win. Alec Henderson had one goal and an assist.
n Bloomington 4, Mahomet-Seymour 0. The Bulldogs fell behind 3-0 at halftime in a road loss.
n Blue Ridge 8, Mount Pulaski 0. The Knights scored four goals in each half in a home win. Jon Jones had two goals and Ian Riggs added three assists for Blue Ridge.
n Urbana University High 9, Normal Calvary Academy 0. Patrick Wong’s hat trick highlighted the Illineks’ home rout. Peter Ivanov and Paul Seeley each contributed two scores.
n Hoopeston Area 2, Schlarman 0. The Cornjerkers improved to 7-0 in the Vermilion Valley Conference with a road win. Elijah Yates had a goal and an assist.
n At Chrisman. Mason Wagner led a 1-2-3 finish by Bismarck-Henning runners that carried the Blue Devils to victory in a three-school meet. Wagner finished in 17 minutes, 45 seconds. In an unscored girls’ meet, Morgan Wood of Shiloh placed first in 21:22.
In boys’ golf
n At Danville. Andy Bott shot a 67, winning medalist honors by 9 strokes and leading Bismarck-Henning to victory in
the seven-team Vermilion Valley Conference tournament at Harrison Park Golf Course. The Blue Devils had three of the top four scorers, including runner-up Austin Toler, en route to a 310 score. Schlarman placed second at 347.
n At Sheldon. With five scorers among the top nine, team champion St. Thomas More finished 29 shots in front of runner-up Iroquois West at the Sangamon Valley Conference tournament at Shewami Country Club.
Chris Tate of the Sabers earned medalist honors with a 77 — 2 strokes ahead of Iroquois West’s Clark Fink. Tyler Vodacek and Paul Burton of STM tied for third with 83s.
n At Savoy. Judah Christian’s Nick Berger shot 3-under-par 33 to win medalist honors by 5 strokes, but Centennial captured the dual meet 158-173 at the University of Illinois Orange Course. Grey Schultz led the Chargers with a 38.
In girls’ golf
n At Danville. Courtney LaFoe of team champion Salt Fork shot an 87 to capture medalist honors at the Vermilion Valley Conference tournament at Harrison Park Golf Course. Milford’s Jordyn Basler finished second with a 97. Five schools had entrants, but Salt Fork was the only league member with enough golfers to qualify for a team score.
n At Fairbury. Co-medalist Emily Heiser shot a 41 to lead Prairie Central to victory in a four-team meet at Indian Creek Country Club.
The Hawks finished 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Tri-Valley.
n At Decatur. Mahomet-Seymour had the top three scorers and won a three-team meet by 24 strokes at Scovill Golf Course. Brooklyn Hildreth and Amber Tabaka of the Bulldogs shot 40s to tie for medalist honors. Janice Choo paced third-place Champaign Central with a 49.
n At Sheldon. Drew Grimes shot a 93 to earn medalist honors and lead Watseka to the team title at the Sangamon Valley Conference tournament at Shewami Country Club. Grimes edged teammate Ashley Lenhart by 1 stroke. St. Thomas More’s Caroline Dodds placed third with a 97.
In girls’ tennis
n At Watseka. Madie Baillon did not lose a game at No. 1 singles, leading St. Thomas More to a 4-1 win against the Warriors.
n At Urbana. Chloe Percival won in three sets at No. 3 singles for the host Tigers in an 8-1 loss to Decatur MacArthur.
