Basketball

Recent accomplishments: Rice led the Chargers in total scoring (32 points) and rebounds (18) in sectional victories against Springfield Southeast and Lincoln to advance to the Class 3A super-sectional.

Quote: "It was crazy. I think Centennial has only advanced once before."

My favorite meal is ... steak with bleu cheese.

Recent accomplishments: Carter won 200- and 400-meter races and placed second in the long jump. She also ran a leg on the winning 1,600 relay at Friday's Big 12 Conference indoor track and field meet.

Quote: "We have two more indoor meets and I would like to get the school 400 record of 61.79."
