Recent accomplishments: Shot a 77 and won the playoff in one hole to take top honors at the Okaw Valley Conference tournament.

Emily Spangler, GCMS sophomore, golf

Recent accomplishments: Tied for medalist honors in the Heart of Illinois meet and lost in a playoff. On Saturday, GCMS was the only Class 1A school in Champaign's Macek Invitational, and Spangler was the area's only top 10 finisher after firing an 81.

Quote: "I feel really good right now. My dad has made some adjustments to my game, and after Saturday I feel great."
