DECATUR – Adam Blackman scored twice and his father, coach Randy Blackman, picked up his 300th career victory as Urbana beat Decatur Eisenhower 7-0 Thursday in prep soccer.
Randy Blackman is 300-129-50 in 24 seasons.
Jonathan Lukusa also scored twice for the Tigers (1-0). Leonard Schloer had a goal and two assists.
Hoopeston Area/Bismarck-Henning 6, Watseka 3. The visiting Cornjerkers (2-0) got two goals apiece from Ian Park and Matt Benjamin. Park also had three assists. Brede Parker scored twice for the Warriors.
Blue Ridge 7, Iroquois West 0. Kevin Price had five goals to lead the host Knights (2-0).
Ryan Roos chipped in a goal and two assists.
Iroquois West keeper Hector Reyes made seven saves.
St. Thomas More 7, Heyworth 0. John Tabb had four goals as the Sabers (2-0) cruised at home. Travis Johnson had a goal and an as-sist.
Urbana Uni 17, St. Joseph-Ogden 1. Dan Lilly's seven goals led the visiting Illineks. Patrick Wong added three goals and three assists. The game was shortened to 20 minutes in the second half per IHSA rules.
In boys' golf:
At Watseka. Iroquois West's Kyle Pool shot 42 at Shewami Country Club to earn medalist honors in a four-team meet.
At Rantoul. Rantoul's Chris Meuser fired a 40 to finish second against winner Pontiac and Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
At Villa Grove. Medalist Ryan Anderson's 35 propelled Salt Fork to victory against Villa Grove and Shiloh at Tri-City Country Club. Mat Bowen added a 36.
At Moweaqua. Nick Hortenstine fired a 38 to lead Sullivan past Arcola/Arthur, Meridian and Shelbyville.
At Watseka. Derek Wengert shot 43 to help Watseka beat Grant Park and CPCI at Shewami.
At Mahomet. Nick Guth earned medalist honors with a 36 as Mahomet-Seymour beat Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley and Heyworth at Lake of the Woods.
Garrett Cox added a 39 for the Bulldogs.
In girls' golf:
At Bloomington. St. Thomas More defeated Bloomington Central Catholic and Peru St. Bede behind 46s from Megan Deedrich and Alexis Freund.
In girls' tennis:
Centennial 5, Normal West 2. Allison Hansen earned a straight- set victory at No. 1 singles as the visiting Chargers won a rain-shortened match.
Bradley-Bourbonnais 4, Watseka 1. Lauren Watts won at No. 1 singles in the host Warriors' opener.
At Bismarck. Bria Olson collected six kills and five blocks to pace St. Joseph-Ogden's 25-20, 18-25, 25-6 win against Bismarck-Henning.
Shelby Geers contributed six kills and Rachael Graham chipped in 21 digs for the Spartans.
