Hill sets record in defeat
URBANA – Jennifer Hill set an Urbana Aquatic Center pool record, finishing the 50-yard freestyle in 24.95 seconds Tuesday in Urbana's dual-meet loss against Centennial.
Audrey Rodawig was a double winner for the Chargers, winning the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. Hill also won the 100 free.
In boys' golf:
At Danville. Salt Fork's Jordan Danzl carded a 37 to earn medalist honors for the Storm, which won a quadrangular against Bismarck-Henning, Marshall and Westville at Harrison Park. Storm golfers swept the next four spots.
At Urbana. St. Thomas More's Pete Fox shot a 39 and earned medalist honors to help the Sabers to the team title in a triangular with Villa Grove and Judah Christian at Stone Creek.
At Decatur. Medalist Ian Connor carded a 39 to lead the Arcola-Arthur co-op to a win against Sangamon Valley.
At Rantoul. Cody Warmoth fired a 37 to earn medalist honors for Fisher to help the Bunnies to a dual win against Rantoul at Brookhill.
At Savoy. Centennial's Peter Black shot a 2-under-par 34 to win medalist honors in the Chargers' dual win against Urbana at the UI Blue Course. Teammate Robb Cozad finished second with a 38.
Centennial 6, Decatur MacArthur 1. Jacob Bushue recorded a hat trick and assisted on a goal by Lonnie Barnes for the visiting Chargers. Brent Loth and Ben Flodstrom also scored for Centennial.
Oakwood 2, Fisher/GCMS 0. Logan Cronk and Kegan Decker each scored a goal for the visiting Comets.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm 6, St. Joseph-Ogden 4. Ryan Howard's hat trick powered the Buffaloes on the road.
Champaign Central 10, Decatur Eisenhower 0. Julio Zarco, Nate Chisholm and Clinton Miller each scored twice for the visiting Maroons.
Judah Christian 2, Urbana University 0. Alex Berry found the back of the net in each half for the host Tribe.

Warrensburg-Latham 8, Unity 0. The visiting Rockets surrendered four goals in each half to the Cardinals.

At Urbana. Katarina Marjanovic, Allison Shapira, Christina Helregel, Anastasia Peters and Miranda Facer all won in straight sets at love in singles matches for Urbana, which beat Rantoul 6-0.
At Watseka. Lauren Watts won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the host Warriors in their 5-0 win against Rich South.
At Bloomington. The Champaign Central doubles teams of Samantha Emery-Alexis Berns and Maria Vozovoy-Bailey McClellan won in straight sets, though the Maroons lost to Bloomington 6-3.
At Westville. Lauren Kirkpatrick dished out 34 assists for Westville in the Tigers' 25-22, 25-12 win against North Vermillion (Ind.).
At Cissna Park. Jenna Heideman had four aces and four assists to lead Cissna Park to a 25-19, 25-20 win against Hoopeston Area. Samantha Stoller, Taylor Redeker and Lauren Bauer all had five blocks.
At Danville. Jessica Greer had eight kills and Brittani Wasson eight assists for Danville First Baptist in a 25-13, 25-14 loss to DeLand-Weldon.
At Macon. Ruthie Wheelock had nine kills for visiting Lovington in a 25-16, 25-16 loss to Meridian.

Maddy Lorenz had 19 assists for Judah Christian in a 25-15, 20-25, 25-22 loss to Salt Fork.

At Urbana. Kelsey Gallivan and Alexis Freund each carded 45s for St. Thomas More in the Sabers' dual win against Kankakee Bishop McNamara at Stone Creek.
At Mattoon. Centennial's Lizzy Dombroski fired a 40 and earned medalist honors for the Chargers, who won the four-team event at Meadowview featuring Mattoon, Champaign Central and Decatur Eisenhower.
In boys' cross-country:
At Danville. Urbana University High's Albert Anastacio edged St. Joseph-Ogden's Zach Elkins by three seconds to win the Kickapoo Kickoff Classic, hosted by St. Joseph-Ogden. The Illineks beat the Spartans by one point in the eight-team event.
At Bloomington. Henry Wolf and Lucas Prather each finished in the top 10 for Mahomet-Seymour as the Bulldogs finished second to Normal U-High in a five-team meet.
At Monticello. Monticello runners swept the top seven spots, including champion Steve Schroeder, in the Sages' win against Central A&M and Clinton at Lodge Park.
In girls' cross-country:
At Danville. Chelsea Blaase, Lauren Cessna and Jolie Paden finished 2-3-4 for St. Joseph-Ogden in the Spartans' victory in the nine-team Kickapoo Kickoff Classic. Oakwood's Cara Pierce was the champion.
At Monticello. Kelsey Hardimon finished first and Michelle Moyer third for Monticello in the Sages' win at Lodge Park against Tuscola, Central A&M and Clinton.
At Bloomington. Urbana's Emily Clay finished first and Alexandra Walch third as the Tigers won a four-team meet featuring second-place Mahomet-Seymour, Normal U-High and Bloomington.
