Rubarts lifts Panthers

GIBSON CITY – Taylor Rubarts had 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead Paxton-Buckley-Loda to a 52-27 girls' basketball victory against Schlarman on Monday in the Lady Falcon/Bunnie Tip-Off Tournament.

Kayla Riggins added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers. Ally Edwards chipped in six assists.

CPCI Tip-Off tourney. Lauren Grubb had 15 points and seven steals in Unity's 64-19 victory against Donovan.

Dani Gooch collected 14 points, six assists and four steals. Aeriel Fender had 10 points and four steals.

Katie Cowan's 14 points, eight rebounds and six steals paced Watseka in a 43-36 loss to Momence. Erin Cowan added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Prairie Central Turkey tourney. Riley Schroeder hit three free throws with five seconds left to force overtime, and Iroquois West held off Morris 28-27.

Lindsay Yoder and Courtney Miller each scored six points for the Raiders. Miller had seven rebounds.

Paige Nord and Jasmine Hughes scored 13 apiece in Ridgeview's 59-26 win against Tri-Point.

Prairie Central pounded Flanagan 72-21 behind 15 points from Whitney Spurlock.

Meridian 59, Arthur-Lovington 40. Ashley Tabb had 10 points in the Lancers' home loss.

Argenta-Oreana 38, Arcola 24. Hannah Millington scored a game-high 14 points as the Bombers won on the road.

Kandie Bloch added eight points. Katy Karmazinas paced the Purple Riders with nine points and Sarah Schneider added six points and six rebounds.

Heritage 50, Sangamon Valley 29. Lindsey Nickelson scored 14 points and the Hawks pulled away in the second half on the road.

Heritage led 24-23 at the break before outscoring Sangamon Valley 26-6 in the second half. Lauren Jeffers added 13 points for Heritage.

Chrisman 49, Villa Grove 28. Brooke Wolfe's 19 points powered the visiting Cardinals. Paige Thevenin added 11 points.

Villa Grove got nine points from Lizzy Smith.
