Shiloh trio sparks home triumph

HUME – Lauren Bogle had 19 points and teammates Taylor Hawkins and Lindsey Ross added 18 apiece as Shiloh beat Urbana University High 73-50 on Tuesday in girls' prep basketball.

The Raiders broke open a close game by outscoring the Illineks 25-11 in the second quarter.

Emma Hoyer had 18 points and 17 rebounds for Uni (4-3). Jamie Blue chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Central A&M 54, Sullivan 42. Hillary Bragg had 13 points and four steals for the host Redskins, who fell behind 20-6 after one quarter.

Tri-Valley 49, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 45. Kasey Sanders' 12 points and 11 rebounds couldn't prevent PBL's home loss.

Ally Edwards had 14 points, including four three-pointers, for the Panthers.

Oakwood 57, Arcola 28. Amy Martin poured in 28 points for the visiting Comets, who limited the Purple Riders to seven second-half points.

Makenzie Baker added 12 points for Oakwood.

Milford 51, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 35. The visiting Bearcats outscored Georgetown-Ridge Farm 25-7 in the second quarter to take command.

Ashlen Portwood paced Milford with 18 points. Shelby Sumner added 13.

Buckley Christ Lutheran 43, Decatur Christian 20. Abby Armstrong had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead Christ Lutheran's season-opening victory.

Hannah King chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Chelsea Kendall contributed 19 rebounds.

In wrestling:

At Danville. Taylor Duitsman (103 pounds), Sunil Patel (125), Zach Palmer (130), Lamont Miller (140), Matt Gill (171) and Jordan Keyes (189) earned wins by pin to lead Rantoul past Danville 46-33.

At Bismarck. Bismarck-Henning earned all its points via forfeits in a 48-33 win against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.

At Fairbury. Zach Drollinger, Zach Judy, Tyler Martin and Gage Wilson had pins in Hoopeston Area's 54-30 victory against Herscher.
