Brown delivers in OT for Prairie Central

BROADLANDS – Koby Brown's bucket in the lane with four seconds left lifted Heritage to a 42-39 victory against Cerro Gordo on Friday night in boys' basketball.

Nick Umbarger (five rebounds), Matt McWhorter and Brown each scored eight points for the Hawks.

Tim Weaver had 14 points and Jordan Ramay added 12 for the Broncos.

Mahomet-Seymour 73, Prairie Central 47. Reid Farchmin collected 15 points and five rebounds, and Ryan Ohl added 12 points as the host Bulldogs pulled away.

M-S outrebounded the Hawks 47-25.

Mitch McDonald had 14 points for Prairie Central.

Normal U-High 65, Rantoul 44. Golden Hairston scored 12 points and Shaquille White added 10 for the visiting Eagles.

McLean County tournament. James Brent's 20 points powered second-seeded LeRoy to a 55-43 victory against Heyworth in Bloomington.

Ethan Bruning chipped in 15 points for the Panthers.

Judah Christian 68, Buckley Christ Lutheran 61. Alex Berry had 17 points and five assists and Tony Riley chipped in 14 for the host Tribe. Christ Lutheran got 29 points from Brad Forster.

Paris 44, Chrisman 38. Zack Parsons had nine points in the Cardinals' home loss.

Cody Owen added eight.

Shelbyville 41, Argenta-Oreana 39. Clayton Creamer scored 12 points and Jake Barnes added 10 for the host Bombers.

Bement 72, Tri-County 59. Brodie Gallagher poured in 28 points and Colin Auth had 25 to spark the visiting Bulldogs. Tri-County's TJ Blake had 32 points and 14 rebounds.

St. Thomas More 67, Tri-Point 48. The visiting Sabers got 19 points from Jason Herzog. Nate Freeman and Tyler Brown scored 13 apiece.

Iroquois West 41, Gardner South Wilmington 39. Colby Barham's three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left propelled the host Raiders. Kyle Pool had 17 points and Aaron Thomas collected 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Arthur 62, Atwood-Hammond 30. Elliott Tinnon scored 10 points as the Knights cruised to a road win. Bobby Aikman added nine points. Randy Crist scored nine for the Rajahs.

Villa Grove 74, Arcola 70. Earvin Westray scored 34 points to lead the host Blue Devils to a double-overtime win. Jon Bretz added 18. Nicholas Lindenmeyer scored 26 points and Garrison Stenger added 23 for the Purple Riders.

In girls' basketball:

Judah Christian 51, Buckley Christ Lutheran 17. Uzuri Williams had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks for the Tribe.

In swimming:

At Urbana. Karl Heine captured the 200-yard individual medley and 100 breaststroke while teammate Austin Zarbuck won the 200 and 500 frees for Urbana in a double dual against Schlarman and Charleston.

In wrestling:

Chargers split. Chris King pinned his opponent in 4:49 at 125 pounds to help Centennial defeat Metamora 48-27. The Chargers lost 43-21 to Washington and 55-21 to Bloomington.
