Martin's big night powers Oakwood

WESTVILLE – Amy Martin poured in a career-high 47 points to power Oakwood to a 77-46 girls' basketball victory against Westville on Monday.

Makenzie Baker added 11 points for the Comets.

Taylor Ceader scored 16 for the Tigers. Chelsie Davis and Ashlyn Nickle added 10 apiece.

Maroa-Forsyth 27, Tuscola 25. Lindsay Troike scored 13 for the Warriors in the Okaw Valley Conference tournament.

Judah Christian 49, Urbana Uni 33. Uzuri Williams had 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead the host Tribe (17-4). Laura Jarrett added 13 points and Renee Trumbo contributed 11 points and nine rebounds. Uni was paced by Michelle Wong’s nine points.

Centennial 42, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 34. Mendy Morrow scored 10 of her team-high 12 points in the second half for the visiting Chargers, who pulled away by outscoring the Panthers 17-6 in the third period. Chantal Meacham added 11 points for Centennial. Kasey Sanders topped PBL with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Villa Grove 43, Okaw Valley 36. Lizzy Smith scored 15 points to lead the visiting Blue Devils.

Bismarck-Henning 63, Milford 24. The host Blue Devils remained unbeaten behind 18 points from Jessica Brito. Jeni Free added 12 points for B-H.

Salt Fork 39, Chrisman 34. Britny Hoag scored 16 of her game-high 21 points in the second half to power the host Storm. Chrisman got 15 points from Paige Thevenin.

South Piatt 64, Arthur-Lovington 35. Shelby Helfrich scored 15 points to lead three Wildcats in double figures. Katrina Freeman added 13 and Katie Gillespie 11 for the visitors.

Hoopeston Area 53, Schlarman 41. Lacey Simpson scored 20 points and Maggie Bartley added 19 for the visiting Cornjerkers. Ali Burkowski's 15 points paced Schlarman.

Rantoul 58, Olympia 36. April Barnett's team-high 19 points sparked the host Eagles, who jumped to a 19-3 lead after one quarter and were not threatened. Hannah Wascher added 18 points for Rantoul.

Shiloh 51, Heritage 48. Lindsey Ross poured in a game-high 26 points for the unbeaten Raiders. The host Hawks got 24 points from Lindsey Nickelson. Bailey Griffin had 11 rebounds.

Armstrong-Potomac 42, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 29. Kara Carter had 14 points and Kourtney Newell nine rebounds for host A-P.

Cerro Gordo 36, Tri-County 31. Kayla West had 13 points and six rebounds for the visiting Broncos. Haley Witts had eight points and 12 boards.

GCMS 43, Lexington 33. Alison Cowell scored 16 points and Shannon Zimmerman added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons.

Prairie Central 50, Mahomet-Seymour 44. Whitney Scurlock scored 18 points and Abby Popejoy chipped in 17 for the visiting Hawks (19-3). Kristin Belyea had 13 points and Kelsie Donley 12 for M-S.

Decatur Lutheran 71, Buckley Christ Lutheran 34. Brad Forster scored 17 points for host Christ Lutheran.
