URBANA – Jennifer Hill set an Urbana Aquatic Center pool record, finishing the 50-yard freestyle in 24.95 seconds Tuesday in Urbana's dual-meet loss against Centennial.

Guerreros lead 'Toppers to title

STREATOR – All-tournament pick Refugio Guerrero scored a pair of goals to lead Schlarman to the boys' soccer tournament title Saturday. The Hilltoppers finished the pool-play event 3-0.

Guerrero's unassisted goal lifted the Hilltoppers to a 1-0 victory against Paw Paw. Keeper Nathan Tissier made five saves to preserve the shutout.

Urbana opens soccer tourney with win

QUINCY — Adam Blackman scored on a penalty kick and assisted on a goal by Jon Lukusa to lead Urbana (2-0) to a 2-0 boys’ prep soccer victory against Kirksville (Mo.) on Friday in the Quincy Midwest Classic. Tigers keeper Julian Threlkeid had five saves to record his second shutout of the season.

Big win for Blackman

DECATUR – Adam Blackman scored twice and his father, coach Randy Blackman, picked up his 300th career victory as Urbana beat Decatur Eisenhower 7-0 Thursday in prep soccer.
