CHAMPAIGN – Jasmine White's four hits powered Urbana's 15-hit attack as the Tigers defeated Champaign Central 9-5 Monday in prep softball. Sheena McNeil added three hits. White knocked in four runs for the Tigers (7-13). Reba Perry and Brittany Likens added two hits.
Monica Rondon had two hits, including a triple, for the Maroons.
Herges, Rubarts lift PBL softball; Mennenga shines
CHAMPAIGN – The Centennial team of David Ruedi and Billy Regan went 4-0 to win the No. 1 doubles title at the Charger Doubles Invitational in boys' tennis action Saturday. Centennial placed fifth out of 16 teams.
URBANA – Mahomet-Seymour and Springfield Southeast didn't win all of the events at a 13-team girls' track and field meet Friday.

CHAMPAIGN – Kimberlyn Vega scored three goals and Courtney Richardson made a save as Champaign Central shut out Decatur St. Teresa 5-0 in a nonconference girls' soccer match Thursday. Ellen Moe and Amanda Greco also scored for the Maroons.

CHAMPAIGN – Centennial's Jake Flessner singled home Don McDuffee in the bottom of the sixth to break up a pitchers' duel and give the Chargers a 1-0 baseball win against Danville on Wednesday.
ST. JOSEPH – Emily Harms and Brittany Earl each hit home runs for St. Joseph-Ogden in a doubleheader sweep of Momence on Saturday in prep softball.
PANA – Christine Brizendine lost 100 pounds on a diet once.

VILLA GROVE – Cody Hatcher went 4 for 4 with four RBI to power Villa Grove to an 11-1 baseball victory against Arthur-Lovington on Friday.
Sean Cler was 3 for 4 with three RBI and Eric Douglas pitched a three-hitter for the Blue Devils. Douglas also went 2 for 2, while teammate Austin Prosser had two hits and drove in two runs.
CHAMPAIGN – Caitlin Lowry scored two second-half goals and Claire Dabrowski made seven saves as St. Thomas More beat Judah Christian 2-1 in girls' soccer Saturday.
