MAHOMET – Mahomet- Seymour's Nicole Parker won medalist honors by 1 stroke at Lake of the Woods as the Bulldogs (199) finished third in a girls' golf triangular meet against Lincoln (194) and Bloomington Central Catholic (195) on Wednesdasy.

Jean's hole-in-one leads to school record

CHAMPAIGN — Katie Jean’s school-record 3-under-par 33 for St. Thomas More was boosted by a hole-in-one on the third hole at Champaign Country Club on Tuesday in girls’ golf action.
The record-setting round also helped the Sabers edge Normal West by 1 stroke.

Highlights: Ideus takes top spot

RANTOUL – Bryan Ideus earned medalist honors for Rantoul with a 38 in a nine-hole dual meet against Centennial Monday. Mark Roughton (41) and Billy Regan (42) were second and third for the Chargers, who won by 13 strokes.

FISHER – Kailey Roberts had 10 kills and eight digs to help Fisher defeat Uni High 25-22, 25-15 Thursday in volleyball.

Taylor Jean dished out 16 assists for the Bunnies, who also received nine kills from Tiffany Wallick.

Highlights: Newman propels Maroons

URBANA – Champaign Central's Hannah Newman won a pair of events (50-meter freestyle, 100 backstroke) as the Maroons posted a 112-71 win against Urbana on Wednesday at the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. Other individual winners for the Maroons were Mamie Hobbs (100 free), Mary Lacine (500 free), Sara Hlinka (200 individual medley) and Aubrie Luesse (diving).

Fritsche fantastic for Illineks

URBANA – Urbana Uni High's Eric Fritsche let loose with three goals in the first half and one in the second to lift the Illineks (6-3) to a 4-0 boys' soccer win against Oakwood on Tuesday.
