Ridgeview girls' basketball

The Mustangs advanced to the state finals for the first time in school history, thanks to a 59-49 upset of sixth-ranked Shiloh in the Champaign Super- sectional at Parkland College. Jasmine Hughes scored a career-high 25 in the triumph.

Champaign Central wrestling

The Maroons won their first regional title since the 1960s and advanced to the team-dual meet for the first time in school history after winning Tuesday's sectional title at Chatham Glenwood.

Unity girls' basketball

The Rockets fell in the super-sectional Monday at Decatur but earned the right to play in the Elite Eight game thanks to an upset of previously unbeaten and top-ranked Bloomington Central Catholic at the St. Thomas More Sectional.

Mahomet-Seymour wrestling

The Bulldogs had a good showing at the individual state meet with five individuals winning matches, including 171-pound champion Andrew Brewer and third-place finisher Jason Cleary (189). M-S also advanced to this weekend's team-dual meet.
