The Vikings qualified four of their six entries for state, sweeping the top two spots in doubles. Rachael and Becca Lewis, who teamed up for a sectional title, lost two games in four doubles matches. Megan Marble and Amy Shah were the doubles runners-up as Danville annexed its first sectional team crown in eight years.

The Knights (19-2-3) avenged one of their regular season losses, rallying late to beat Monticello for the school's first regional crown in soccer. Senior J.J. Malone scored all three goals in the title match for a Marty Price-coached team that has allowed one of its first 24 opponents to score more than two goals.

In a turnover-free game where they never punted, the Tigers shut out Eisenhower to keep alive their playoff hopes. Cameron Mammen, who led Urbana in rushing, passed for two touchdowns and scored one as the team evened its record at 4-4. Tanner Russell and Marcus Hendricks were the go-to receivers, accounting for all eight receptions.

The Blue Devils (21-1) won their eighth Vermilion County tournament title in a row. The two-set sweep against Oakwood marked the sixth time since 2004 that B-H ended it in two sets. Coach Susan Kentner's team had two service aces (one by Lauren McKenzie and one by Samantha Siddens) but only had one serve land out of bounds in the match.
