CHAMPAIGN — The Sabers overcame a 14-0 deficit to tie the score but couldn’t hold off Momence on a fourth-quarter drive to win the game.

Trailing by two touchdowns, STM got back in the game on an 8-yard scoring run by Josh Parker in the second quarter. In the third period, the Sabers tied it on a 27-yard TD pass from Storm Joop to Cameron Deedrich.

Parker finished with 57 yards rushing. Joop gained 52 on the ground and threw for 206 while completing 11 of 22 passes.

Michael Plecki was Joop’s favorite target, hauling in seven passes for 112 yards.
