NORMAL — The Wildcats overcame a seven-point third-quarter deficit to edge the Tigers. Urbana’s Alex Beckman completed 26 of 47 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Jeff Trask Jr. hauled in two of the scoring strikes and Dustin Lard had one.

James Cobbs had 82 receiving yards, plus 55 yards on the ground. Urbana freshman Jaimin Carter had one carry and it went for a 71-yard TD for his team’s first score.

“The kids played really hard,” Urbana coach Nathan Watson said. “I am proud of the way we played. This is the first time I felt we played in all aspects of the game.”

Kenny Patton had 10 tackles, two more than Moaso Bumba.
