TUSCOLA — Gage Eller rushed for 150 of the Bombers’ 304 ground yards to lead A-O to an Okaw Valley Blue road win.

Eller scored on runs of 42, 30 and 79 yards. He also threw TD passes of 26 yards to Jesse Brown and 85 yards to Taylor Ferrill.

Nick Bates had a hand in both Warriors’ TDs, running it in from 10 yards and connecting with Tristan Williams on a 25-yard score.

Some have called this the most exciting day of the fall for high school football fans. Tonight, the IHSA will reveal the football playoff brackets. We will learn if any area teams will face one another in the first round, which schools will play at home in Week 1 and which ones will have to travel. Some five-win area teams also might learn that their season will not continue. Here’s what to expect:


PLAYOFF QUALIFIERS — All 256 qualifiers announced online, 5:15 p.m.

PAIRINGS SHOW TIME (Comcast SportsNet) — 8-10 p.m. (1A pairings at 8:06, 2A pairings at 8:16, 3A pairings at 8:26, etc.)

STUDIO HOST AND PANELISTS — Host Jen Lada will be joined by IHSA announcer Dave Bernhard, Kankakee Daily Journal sports writer Steve Soucie, Rockford WTVO reporter Matt Rodewald and state prep football expert “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran.
