2. Tuscola 1 13-1 A one-point loss to Lena-Winslow met Andy Romine's Warriors, who have nothing to hang their heads about.

3. Westville 3 11-1 A high-powered Shelbyville team dealt Guy Goodlove's crew a devastating loss in a Class 2A quarterfinal.

4. Monticello 5 9-2 Cully Welter's Sages fell by one point in the second round to a Byron squad that made the Class 3A semifinals.

5. Unity 4 9-2 Unity's forray into Class 4A under coach Scott Hamilton ended with a second-round loss to Herrin.

6. Danville 6 9-2 Marcus Forrest's Vikings fell in Round 2 to Nazareth Academy, which wound up the state runner-up in Class 6A.

7. Argenta-Oreana 7 9-2 Steve Kirk's first squad dropped a second-round bout with Athens, which lost to Tuscola in the Class 1A semifinals.

8. BHRA 8 7-4 Mark Dodd's Blue Devils were competitive against top-seeded West Hancock in a Class 2A second-round setback.

9. Arcola 9 7-3 Nick Lindsay's Purple Riders couldn't top Brown County, which — like Athens — eventually lost to Tuscola in Class 1A.

10. Mahomet-Seymour 10 6-4 Keith Pogue's Bulldogs will look to rebound from a first-round setback in Class 5A to Chatham-Glenwood.
