UNITY BASS FISHING
The Rockets qualified for state (May 9-10) by winning their second consecutive sectional championship at Lake Vermilion. C.J. Parks and Ryan Spencer teamed up to catch fish weighing 9 pounds, 2 ounces.

CLINTON GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD
The Maroons won their 13-team invitational by nine points. Becca Anderson won two sprint races, while teammates Erin West and Betsy Lovett each won an individual event. Clinton also won the 400 and 800 relays.

ST. JOSEPH-OGDEN SOFTBALL
The Spartans (14-3) won four games, including the 900th in coach Randy Wolken’s career. SJ-O swept a doubleheader from Momence on the day the home field was dedicated to Wolken, the state’s winningest softball coach.

CENTENNIAL BOYS’ TENNIS
The Chargers swept Troy Triad 9-0 and then won the title in their own 16-team tournament, going unbeaten in singles. Sunny Singh (No. 1) and Max Zheng (No. 2) were triumphant. Will Small and Patrick Kearney won in doubles.
