Wednesday's prep highlights: Schotts lead Chargers wrestlers

In wrestling

At Champaign. Austen Schott pinned his 120-pound opponent in 1 minute, 10 seconds, leading Centennial to a 34-28 dual-meet victory against Mount Zion.

The Chargers' Samuel Lack, competing at 106, pinned his foe in 3:57, and teammate Ethan Zinchuk pinned his 138-pound opponent in 4:50.

Joey Schott, wrestling at 113, earned a 12-0 major decision for Centennial, which got an 8-3 decision from Deonte Adams at 182 and a 3-0 decision from Nicholas Schriefer at 285.

In swimming & diving

At Champaign. Central, behind Blake Lehmann, Evan Miller, Sam Stewart and Joey Faullin, swept every event in a 107-76 dual-meet victory against Centennial at Unit 4 Pool.

Lehmann was part of victorious 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle relays and also claimed individual titles in the 50 free (21.50 seconds) and 100 backstroke (58.32).

Miller was part of the 200 medley and 200 free relays, and he claimed individual crowns in the 200 free (1 minute, 52.68 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.80).

Stewart won the 200 individual medley (2:08.22) and 100 free (49.42), and he was part of the victorious 200 free and 400 free relays.

Faullin was a member of the triumphant 400 free and 200 medley relays, and he also won the 100 butterfly (56.07).

Centennial's Gabe Omo-Osagie placed second in the 50 free and 100 fly.

At Bloomington. Erik Heine finished first in the 100 free and second in the 50 free, but Urbana lost 117-65 to the Purple Raiders.

John Seyler placed first in diving for the Tigers.
