WHY HE MADE IT: Chow clocked the area's top 100-yard breaststroke time at 1:01.59 en route to a sectional title in the event and becoming Urbana's first state swimmer since 2007. Chow also held top-five area times in the 200 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

He paced all locals in 100 butterfly clockings and was top-five in three other events.
