Trinity Catholic (Mo.) 70, Champaign Central 50. Khailieo Terry starred in his usual role for the Maroons (8-8), scoring 16 points alongside 12 points from Sam Beesley, but Central couldn't answer Trinity's strong finish to the first half and fell in tournament action.

Snow alters Saturday's prep scheduling

Thus far in the 2018-19 winter high school sports season, Illinois-based teams and their fans have experienced good luck with the weather.

But that all changes this weekend, as projected significant snowfall has caused mass cancellations to area contests.

Thursday's prep highlights: Crowe, Knudsen both tally 1,000th point in IPC play

LeRoy 75, Blue Ridge 30. Nick Perry put away four three-pointers to help the host Panthers (10-4) to a non-league win over the Knights (10-9). Perry finished with 24 points, and Nate Sammer contributed nine points to aid LeRoy's cause. Zach Stephens piled up 13 points for Blue Ridge.
