Central shares tennis title

Upon further review, Champaign Central gets a share of the Big 12 boys' tennis title.

After Monday's rain-delayed tournament ended, Danville was awarded the team championship by virtue of a tiebreaker. But Bloomington High athletic director John Szabo, who handles the awards for the Big 12, said Tuesday a tiebreaker was unnecessary.

"It's a tie. We'll have co-champions and go from there," he said.

It is Central's first league title in boys' tennis since 1998. Danville won for the first time since 2007.

Alejandro Macias won the No. 5 singles title to spark Central.
