Why he's coach of the year: The Sabers won their first-ever sectional title as a team and advanced two doubles teams and an individual to the Class 1A state meet, where the doubles teams combined for six wins.

Season Highlight: "Winning the team sectional championship for the first time in the history of the St. Thomas More program."
