Recently: Mississippi recruit set another school record in the shot put at Plainfield North with a toss of 59 feet, 71/2 inches.

In his words: “It’s just been lots of work in the offseason and busting my butt in the weightroom.”

My favorite athlete is ... Lindsay Rogan.

The Illinois men’s basketball team will ... not win the national championship.

Michael Finke is ... a guy who likes long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners.

My first job ... Probably babysitting

Mississippi is ... filled with Southern belles.

I need concert tickets to ... Miley Cyrus.

In five years ... I will be graduating at Ole Miss and going into the police academy.

I’m always texting ... Brian Potter.

My spring break plans ... are wishing I was on the beach.

Centennial High is ... loud.

Recently: Miami (Ohio) recruit helped the Vikings win the Big 12 indoor track and field meet Monday, placing first in the 60-meter hurdles, 200 and 400.

In her words: “I think that the coaches prepared us really well, and we’ve been working really hard and putting in the time.”

My favorite athlete is ... Allyson Felix because she runs fast and is a positive role model.  

The Illinois men’s basketball team will ... do well at the Dance.

Miami (Ohio) is ... awesome.  

My first job ... Babysitting

I’m driving ... a Ford Ranger.

In five years ... I will be making some money and maybe doing some running.

I’m always texting ... Che Jones, Jorriel Stewart and Ambrosia Williams.

My spring break plans ... are to go to the Texas Relays.
