JESSICA ALLHANDS

Watseka senior, outside hitter

Why she made it: Set single-season school records for kills (351) and aces (92) as Watseka set its record for wins in a season (34). Plans to major in biology and play volleyball in college, but the salutatorian candidate is undecided on a university.

Season highlights: Pounding 20 kills as the Warriors won the SVC tournament championship; helped school reach 20-win mark for fourth consecutive year.

EMMA CABUTTI

Mahomet-Seymour senior, outside hitter

Why she made it: Parkland College recruit is a repeat selection who led the 19-win Bulldogs in kills (238) and aces (34). Was second on the team in digs (185). Plans to major in education or journalism.

Season highlights: A three-year letter winner, she led the Bulldogs in kills for two consecutive seasons, raising career total to 528, and earning a spot on the All-Corn Belt Conference first team.

MEGAN CASAGRANDE

St. Thomas More senior, middle hitter

Why she made it: Repeat selection is undecided on a college but is considering Parkland. Led the Sangamon Valley Conference champion Sabers in kills (253), blocks (54) and aces (51).

Season highlights: Helped the Sabers win a Class 2A regional and advance to the championship match of the sectionals and a position among the state's top 16 teams.

MARIAH COLEMAN

Heritage senior, middle hitter

Why she made it: Area Player of the Year is an Indiana recruit who holds the school's match (22), season (380) and career (949) records for kills. Plans to major in business in college.

Season highlights: Helped Hawks win their first volleyball regional and tie the school record for single-season wins (24). Season hitting efficiency was a superb .519.

RACHEL JONES

Centennial junior, middle hitter

Why she made it: Led the 34-win regional champions with 129 blocks. Also had 117 kills, 51 digs and 28 aces. Wants to study nursing in college and is considering Bradley, Dayton, Loyola, Maryland and Wake Forest.

Season highlights: An all-tournament selection at the Centennial and Wilmington invitationals.

AMBER MEYER

Tri-County, junior, setter

Why she made it: Led the LOVC champion Titans in assists (706) and aces (71). The youngest of four quadruplets born in Indianapolis, following Autumn, Ami and Austin.

Season highlights: Catalyst on a team that won four tournaments and captured 28 of its 33 wins in two-set sweeps.

SHANNON SIUTS

St. Thomas More senior, setter

Why she made it: Had team-high 463 assists and was second on regional champions with 48 aces. Also had 78 kills, 66 digs and 23 blocks. Will major in business or journalism in college but will not play volleyball. Is considering Georgia, Missouri and Northwestern.

Season highlights: Returned from a late-season illness to lead the Sabers to their fourth straight regional championship.

KELLY WACHTEL

Centennial senior, outside hitter

Why she made it: Repeat selection led the Chargers to their fifth consecutive 30-win season, with 212 kills, 254 digs, 38 aces and 38 blocks. Finished fifth on career charts at school with 509 kills. IUPUI recruit will major in computer engineering in college.

Season highlights: A straight-A student, she gets high marks on the court whether passing or hitting.

JAELYN WESTFIELD

Champaign Central junior, middle hitter

Why she made it: All-Big 12 first-teamer led the Maroons in kills (169) and blocks (69). Undecided on a college but is considering Central Michigan, Oakland, Valparaiso and Washington University.

Season highlights: One of three juniors on the All-Area first team, she was a force in the middle for the 23-win Maroons.

KAITLYN ZELHART

Blue Ridge senior, middle hitter

Why she made it: Jacksonville State recruit is a repeat selection who had team-high totals of 311 kills, 288 digs, 54 aces and 38 blocks. Will major in exercise science and wellness.

Season highlights: A three-time all-conference selection who finished her prep career with a school-record 1,105 kills. One of 646 players nationwide (along with Wachtel) on the Under Armour watch list for All-America consideration.
