Monday's highlights: Simmons, SJ-O score upset

In volleyball

■ Judah Christian 2, Heritage 1.
The Tribe pulled out a 25-21, 18-25, 25-19 road victory behind Kristina Lee’s 11 kills, seven blocks and three service aces. Emily Gewirtz racked up 18 digs for Judah, and teammate Kylie Beaumont added 18 assists and nine digs.

Cedar Richardson had 10 kills for Heritage, and teammate Taylor Wienke contributed four service aces.

■ Arcola 2, Urbana Uni High 0. The Purple Riders captured a 25-18, 30-28 home victory despite 22 digs by Natalie Dullerud for the Illineks.

■ Arthur-Lovington 2, Windsor 1. Karly Goodman’s 18 kills and Sherelle Coller’s 35 assists helped the Lancers pulled out a 26-24, 23-25, 25-22 road win. Jessica Davis added 11 kills for A-L (23-2), while Emily Seegmiller and Brooke Tabb each contributed 11 digs to the victory.

■ Maroa-Forsyth 2, Bement 0. Taylor Wegrich and Maddie Mann combined for 11 kills and 15 digs for the Bulldogs in a 25-15, 25-15 home loss. Ariel Campbell led Bement in digs with nine.

SVC tournament at Paxton

■ St. Joseph-Ogden 2, Watseka 0.
Led by Shelby Simmons’ double-double, the Spartans handed top-seeded Watseka its second loss of the season 25-18, 25-20. Simmons finished with 14 digs and  12 kills. Kylie Michael chipped in with 11 kills for SJ-O (20-8). Taylor Bauer had six kills and 11 digs for the Warriors (29-2).

■ St. Joseph-Ogden 2, PBL 1. Simmons also had a double-double (13 kills, 12 digs) in the Spartans’ hard-earned 25-13, 26-28, 25-19 victory against the Panthers. Karlie Baker finished with 31 assists for SJ-O, while Michael contributed 11 kills and Olivia Owens had 12 digs in the victory. Kailey Kleinert paced the Panthers with 13 kills, two blocks and two aces.

■ Watseka 2, Iroquois West 0. The Warriors won 25-10. 25-20 behind Bauer’s 10 kills, six service aces and seven digs. Maddie Pfingsten finished with 21 assists for Watseka. Skylar Small had six digs for IW.

■ PBL 2, Iroquois West 0. Sarah Watts and Kleinert combined for 11 kills, boosting the Panthers to a 25-22, 25-15 win. Small and Cecilia Canizela each had seven digs for the Raiders.
