Monday Rewind: Plays of the Game Texas State

Illinois-Purdue time set

A time and television network for the Illinois-Purdue game was announced on Monday.

The Illini will host the Boilermakers at 11 a.m. on Oct. 4, with ESPN2 carrying the broadcast.

It's the third home game this season with an 11 a.m. kickoff for the Illini.

A fourth one is already set for Oct. 25 when Illinois hosts Minnesota in the Illini's homecoming game.

Kopinski, Hiltzik undefeated in doubles

Aleks Vucic was the only Illini to win in singles at the Olympia Field/Fighting Illini Invitational on Sunday, but Illinois walked away from the event with a 14-7 overall mark.

The squad went 11-5 in singles play and 3-2 in doubles during the weekend event.

Two invites, two wins for men's golf

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — Illinois’ men’s golf team had little trouble winning its second invitational of the young season on Sunday, as Brian Campbell’s medalist performance pushed the Illini to a 30-stroke victory in the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.

The senior finished at 4 under, one of only two players under par in the tournament.
