2 top deputies in Cook County prosecutor's office resign

CHICAGO (AP) — Two top deputies to the Chicago prosecutor whose office handled the Jussie Smollett case are resigning

.Documents obtained through open records requests show the resignations will take effect May 3 in the office of Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx.

Both deputies say their departures are unrelated to the Smollett case.

NBC, LA Olympics to combine to sell sponsorships, ad time

NBC Universal and the LA Olympics are going into business together, combining to package commercial time on all the network's platforms with opportunities to sponsor the American team through 2028.

The deal is for contracts covering 2021 through 2028, the year the Summer Games return to the United States for the first time in 32 years.

Loughlin, other prominent parents plead not guilty in college scam

BOSTON (AP) — Actress Lori Loughlin, her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli and other prominent parents are pleading not guilty in the college admissions bribery scam.

Loughlin and Giannulli said in court documents filed Monday they are waiving their right to appear in court for an arraignment and plead not guilty.
