Wonder if viewer interest in Illinois football is waning? There is proof, courtesy of the nice folks at ESPN.

The Illinois-Purdue game Saturday on ESPN2 averaged 585,000 viewers. That is a significant dip from the 884,000 viewers ESPN2 averages for 11 a.m. kickoffs on Saturdays.

With Halloween approaching, our weekly game over the next few weeks will feature properties in scary movies.

Top of the Morning, Oct. 3, 2014

As basketball announcers go, there are some more excitable (Dick Vitale), some scarier (Bob Knight) and some more fun (Bill Raftery). But there is none smarter than Jay Bilas.

The former Duke standout is a lawyer by trade, working in commercial litigation for more than 20 years. But he became a household name because of his work as an ESPN basketball analyst.

Public invited to attend Gender Film Series

The Gender Film Series will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursdays from Oct. 2 to Dec. 4 at the Women's Resources Center on the second floor at 703 S. Wright St., C, in collaboration with the Department of Gender and Women's Studies and the University of Illinois chapter of the National Organization for Women.

UI law student tried for 'Perfect Match' on MTV show

URBANA — University of Illinois law student John Moustis isn't a big fan of reality TV.

But last year, he and his friends got hooked on MTV's dating reality series, "Are You the One?"

Fenoli proud of the reality in 'Say Yes to the Dress'

Reality TV star Randy Fenoli of TLC's "Say Yes To The Dress" is leaving New York City this weekend and heading here, his home state, for the first time in over 20 years. A Mount Vernon native who's now fashion director of Kleinfeld's, a high-end Big Apple bridal boutique, will be at the Refinery in Champaign at 1 p.m.
