Police on scene of single-vehicle crash at I-57/74 interchange

CHAMPAIGN — State police are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the ramp connecting westbound Interstate 74 to southbound Interstate 57.

The crash involves injuries, trooper Matt Gordon said.

The ramp is open, but Gordon urged drivers to use caution in the area.

UPDATE: 2 accidents shut down I-74 in both directions near Danville

DANVILLE — Two accidents, at least one of which involved injuries, shut down both directions of Interstate 74 at different times Friday near Danville.

Illinois State Police Sgt. Tom Lillard said the first happened at 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 215, the Georgetown Road/Gilbert Street exit. Lillard said it involved injuries but did not elaborate.

Single-vehicle crash, slide-offs reported on I-57 near Pesotum

PESOTUM — The scene is cleared and all lanes are again open, state police said.
