God bless him.   Some of my most treasured memories as a fan and alum came during the tenure of, and due to the efforts of, Coach Weber.  No matter where he goes, I'll always be a fan. This man deserved better.

Dear Coach Weber,

I am sorry the Univ Of Ill and Mike Thomas do not have ability to comprehend that the character of the program and the graduates are more important than money. That they listen to a few cry babies and donors with huge wallets. They might as well change their name to Corruption Univ.

Yes we would like to win championships but only if everything else is done right. This is college sports not the NBA, NFL, MLB.

Congrats and thank you for the sucess and integrity you have brought here. I look forward to seeing you on TV and in the NCAA tournament in the near future. Go SIU!!!!

I wish him well at another school. But, in the end, this excuse that only he can be successful running a clean program and the excuse that his players failed him is a true mistake. He has it going in the wrong direction the last few years, and if not for the miracle finish against Arizona ( which he like all of us sat back and watched the kids take over the game) if not for that and the final 4 on his record, this move would have happened before now. He was stubborn to the end, letting Paul do what he wanted to, never realizing that Sam was not the answer, and never realizing that Henry, and Bertrand, Egwu and Leonard might be pretty good if they ever stepped and stayed on the floor for more than 2 min. at a time. Oh, thanks for telling the other coaches you will never play a zone against them , this way, they did not have to spend time working on their zone offense before they played you. ...GEEZE MANEE...
