If 2 of O'Toole's 4 picks were caused by tipped balls, why not kudos for the defensive players who made exceptional plays? 34 completions with an injured finger for over 300 yards is still an excellent outing.
And who knows if the intended receivers were in the right place at the right time on the other 2 pics? It's not like the receivers have been stellar route runners the last 3 years.
Nathan has still lost 12? B1G games in a row. Do we really need to hear about another average game performance? Isn't a higher level of leadership shown by telling the coach "put in the next guy, I've given it my best shot. It's now someone else's turn to lead this team." Wouldn't respect go up for Nathan?
Spring game has offensive turnover woes and defensive turnover achievements. Since it is all mostly meaningless stats but very good experience for all on the field, lets give equal levels of praise to the offense and defense.
Incremental progress clearly worked for the mens bb team this season - get better every day.
