SAVOY — OSF HealthCare is planning to open another primary-care clinic in Champaign County, this time in Savoy.
The OSF Medical Group clinic will be at 501 N. Dunlap St., Savoy.
It will be one of two new clinic locations being opened by OSF this fall. The other is still under construction at the new Union Square retail development at Springfield and Mattis avenues in west Champaign.
The new Champaign clinic is set to open in October, according to OSF spokesman Curt Squires.
The new 7,800-square-foot clinic in Savoy, formerly a Christie Clinic location, will have nine exam rooms, according to OSF.
OSF bought the building from Fox Development, Squires said.
Providing care there will be internal-medicine specialist Dr. Andrew Zasada.
Zasada completed his internal-medicine residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in New York and at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Flora Adams Williams, a physician assistant with OSF Medical Group in Urbana, will be transferring to also provide care at the Savoy location, according to OSF.
“We believe that in order to provide the best care for the community, we have to spread out and be a part of the community,” said Marcia Cooper, vice president of clinical operations for OSF HealthCare’s eastern region. “This allows us to provide better access to quality health care.
“Additionally, Savoy is a growing community, and we look forward to being a part of that community so we can partner with the local schools and businesses to provide great care.”
