Join us for refreshments and music provided by the Cobra Lounge Trio at the reception on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. At the reception, mingle with the art faculty and learn what has inspired their work.
Join Giertz Gallery for Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day on Saturday, Sept. 21, from noon to 2 p.m. Come celebrate the creative potential in all of us by making butterfly and insect-themed wearable art with Parkland faculty and students! This year’s activity is unique, fun, and free, and offers an opportunity for kids and their caregivers to create together and connect with the arts. Artmaking supplies and other materials are provided. This program is best for kids age 6 to adult, but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
