Contractors are invited to submit sealed bid(s) for replacement of drain and reconstruction of ditch in Section 26, T 19 N, R 9 E, in Champaign County, Illinois, on behalf of Silver Creek Drainage District. Bids will be received at the offices of the Engineer set forth above, by any form of delivery, including email, before 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time on April 22, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.
The project consists of: (1) a subsurface drainage system including approximately 1,380 linear feet of 30” HDPE Dual Wall tile; and (2) Channel excavation of approximately 5,200 linear feet, all as set forth in the Construction Plans.
A single stipulated sum bid may be received for each phase of the work and a combined bid may be made for both phases.
Bid Documents will be available to qualified contractors from the offices of DIGS ASSOCIATES on or after April 2, 2021.
A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required.
The Drainage District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Drainage District may accept bids for each phase of the project or may combine bids from a single contractor. The Drainage District may continue the letting of bids from time to time without further notice.
Successful bidder(s) must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission.

Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract in Champaign County, Illinois, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
The Project and payment therefore will be contingent upon court approval of a Special Assessment for construction of the Project and payment therefore will be made upon receipt of the Special Assessment proceeds and approval by the Engineer upon the completion of the Project.
