The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Copyright Specialist in Champaign, Illinois. Duties: In the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL), responsible for developing,
managing, and analyzing intellectual property policies that pertain to the creation, addition or use of copyrighted or licensed content. Will guide
overall CITL activities pertaining to copyright and
licensing in conjunction with campus stakeholders. Assess risks to CITL processes and actions related to copyright compliance; analyze case law, relevant statutes, and secondary legal literature to support CITL and campus policies for online education;
develop tutorials and instructional materials for copyright in online education. This position does not engage in the practice of law on behalf of the
University of Illinois or any affiliated entities.
Requirements: ABA accredited J.D. degree. Two months' experience in intellectual property law.
Experience can be gained prior to earning J.D.
