Family Advocacy Center. Through an agreement with DCFS the Family Advocacy Program provides advocacy support services for parents and children assisting in reunification and stabilization efforts. The Family Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day program activities ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements. The Family Support Specialist reports to the Program Manager. Candidate will assist in the development, coordination and implementation of a family and child centered program to enhance parent involvement and parenting groups. Candidate will provide both general and court advocacy. Position requires a bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services or related field; possess good management skills and good written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with families pref., some evenings Mon-Wed until 7:00 pm req. Competitive salary. EOE.
