As the University of Illinois men's basketball team gets ready to kick off their season next week, the State Farm Center has made some changes to host teams safely during the Covid-19 pandemic. Gone are the fans, food and access to the floor for anyone but the teams, coaches and game officials. Radio broadcasts will be made from the second tier of seats, as well as photography and reporting. Press conferences will be on Zoom, with no one-on-one contact with the team members. Hand sanitizer will be readily available everywhere, and players will wear masks when not on the court playing.
