CHAMPAIGN — COVID-19 cases in Champaign County rose by 86 Monday.

Combined with Sunday’s increase, there have been 223 more positive tests since Saturday, according to the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District.

There were 965 currently active cases in the county Monday, 12 fewer than on Sunday.

The health district was monitoring 872 close contacts in quarantine, 17 more than on Sunday.

Champaign County has had 29,775 COVID cases to date.
