Another Taco Bell is coming to Champaign-Urbana, this one near campus.
It will replace the former Which Wich sandwich shop at 512 E. Green St. this fall, according to a sign recently posted in the store's window.
And the Taco Bell public relations team confirmed the new location, which will employ around 30 people.
Unlike the other four Taco Bells in Champaign-Urbana, this one won't have a drive-thru and will adopt Taco Bell's new "Urban In-Line" concept.
It first launched in 2015 in Chicago and more have opened in cities such as San Francisco, New York and Atlanta.
With the new concept, all the classic Taco Bell menu items will still be around, like the Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme or the Quesarito, as well as new shareable tapas-style items.By 2022, Taco Bell plans to add 300 of the urban restaurants in the U.S.
